I call this style "furrowed" because the indentations remind me of the furrows of freshly planted farm land here in Wisconsin. I make the furrows using either a rounded wooden tool, or sometimes a spoon, making concentric rings which make their way from the top rim to the base. I like the way the horizontal furrows play with the vertical forms
Our stoneware is fired to 2350° Fahrenheit, and is completely water tight. However, if you're placing a water filled vase of flowers on a piece of fine furniture, please put a cork or woven mat underneath it to protect your furniture from any condensation that may form.

Each pot is made by hand on the potter's wheel, and glazed by hand. Slight variations in size, glaze application and texture are elements of the handmade process and are to be expected.

Our glazed vases are stoneware, fired to 2350° Fahrenheit. They will not leak, but take care when placing them on surfaces that could be marred by water. You may want to place them on a cork pad or other protective mat to keep condensation from a wooden surface.
