The Provençal Scallop takes its inspiration from the informal elegance of the garden pottery of southern France. Its tall, gently flaring form is finished with a softly scalloped rim that gives the pot a wonderful sense of movement.
A matching saucer echoes the pot with its own hand-crimped edge, making the two pieces feel very much a pair. It’s an especially graceful shape for flowering plants, herbs, and plantings that spill over the rim.
Our Terra Rosa clay is a mixture of traditional red terracotta and white stoneware clays, giving it a color very similar to Italian terracotta. Each pot is thrown and finished by hand, so the scalloped edges vary slightly from one piece to the next.
