The Tazza Bowl takes its name from the Italian tazza, a shallow bowl traditionally raised on a foot. My version gives that classical form a practical twist: the bowl rests on a separate pedestal saucer, creating the graceful appearance of a footed vessel while still catching water from the pot above.
Its broad, open shape was originally inspired by bowls used for paperwhites and other bulbs, but it lends itself beautifully to succulents, herbs, mixed plantings, and other plants that benefit from a wide planting surface.
Thrown and finished by hand, the Tazza is equally at home on a table, windowsill, or as a centerpiece where its low, elevated silhouette can be appreciated from every side.
