This is a one-of-a-kind piece from our soda kiln. The marbled clay received a beautiful, softly varied finish from the soda firing, giving the surface depth and gentle movement.
The term coupe comes from the French word for “cut” or “cup,” and in dining refers to a plate without a raised rim—a shallow, bowl-like form. Our version has slightly taller sides, which is why we call this a Coupe Bowl. It’s an ideal shape for pasta, stir-fry, grain bowls, or any dish with sauce.
This glaze is food-safe, dishwasher-safe, and microwave-safe, and the piece is crafted to provide many years of reliable use in the kitchen and at the table.
