The Vaglia Urn is inspired by a beautiful pot that was in the home of a family friend we visited on our recent trip to Italy.  Although Vaglia (pronounced Vah-lia) is officially part of Metropolitan Florence, the countryside around Vaglia feels like you have gone back in time.  Rolling hills and forest give way to olive groves and 500 year old stone houses.  Although a closed form like this may not be ideal for plants that may become root bound, the pot from which I drew inspiration was very comfortably holding a large fiddle leaf fig.
