Details

These are the simple, unadorned work pots that were found in Victorian era greehouses and conservatories. In their day, they were as ubiquitous as a plastic grower's pot today, and potters threw (and sold) them by the ton.

I'm making these in 4 different sizes, (#1/2, #1, #2, #4,) denoted by the lbs. of wet clay I use for throwing them.  You can read more about English horticultural terracotta here.

  • Drainage hole allows for direct planting
  • Frostproof, will not delaminate due to cold weather, but will crack if allowed to freeze while containing damp soil and plant material.
