The Cyprus Urn is inspired by Byzantine era pottery made on the island of Cyprus in the eastern Mediterranean. Pottery from Cyprus during this time period incorporated Greek and European influences, as well as influences from the earlier Arab conquest.
I like the generously open shape, understated pedestal base, and small handles that provide utility as well as an aesthetic flourish.
