The Provençal Scallop takes its inspiration from the informal elegance of the garden pottery of southern France. Its tall, gently flaring form is finished with a softly scalloped rim that gives the pot a wonderful sense of movement.
A matching saucer echoes the pot with its own hand-crimped edge, making the two pieces feel very much a pair. It’s an especially graceful shape for flowering plants, herbs, and plantings that spill over the rim.
Our Natural White clay is unglazed, porous earthenware, and each pot will take on its own patina once it has been planted and watered. Each pot is thrown and finished by hand, so the scalloped edges vary slightly from one piece to the next.
