Soda Fired Square Vase
Please select all options.
I made a series of vases for this last soda firing. Each was thrown on my treadle wheel, which allows for a more relaxed form, which echoes the movement of the wheel. And this one was altered a bit to a square shape just before taking it off the wheel. It carries a kaolin slip on the exterior, which takes on blush and brownish tones in the soda firing, and has a tenmoku glazed interior.
