Flask style vase, inspired by 19th century stoneware flasks of New England, that had been flattened after throwing on the potter's wheel.   Rich tenmoku glaze inside and out.   Non-porous and water tight, but if using as a vase, care should be used when placing on fine furniture that could be marred by condensation on the outer surface.
