Large pancheon is inspired by the English country pottery bowls that were used to "stand milk" while the cream rises. Bowls like this were also used for bread dough, with the bread being baked in the same bowl after rising. The interior is glazed with a white shino glaze, which is very servicable for washing up. The exterior shows the natural clay, with blush accents from the soda glazing atmosphere in the kiln. Beautiful on the table for serving a large salad Food safe glaze that was soda-fired to cone 10, 2350 degrees F.
