Each Piece is Handmade

Each piece of Wakefield Handmade pottery which ships from my Rockdale, Wisconsin studio is made one at a time on the potter's wheel by me personally.  Variations in size, shape and finish detail will occur, and are part of the unique character of artisan made goods.  For that reason, please know that the piece you order will not be an exact copy of the photo you see on my website. 

 

Wakefield Handmade Faux Finish Pottery

Since I've chosen to work on my own in my Wisconsin studio, I do not have the capacity to make wholesale orders. That is why I've developed the Wakefield Handmade Faux Finish pottery line, which you can find in your local garden center or garden/home decor retailer.  These pieces are part of my wholesale line, and are made by potters in Honduras, with whom I've worked since 1997.  You can find more information on my work with potters in Honduras here.

 

Shipping & Delivery

My goal is to get your order to you as quickly and economically as possible. Studio In Stock items usually ship within 1 week of your order,  However, since in addition to making each piece, I am also the packing, shipping and customer service departments, at times the shipping time might be a bit sooner or a little longer than that.   If your order for Studio In Stock items is combined with Pre-Order items, I will normally wait until all pieces are ready to ship before sending out the order.  If you need immediate delivery of a Studio In Stock item, please let me know.  I primarily use UPS ground for shipments, although if you need delivery to a P.O. box, I'll use USPS.   I offer free shipping within the continental USA on orders of $50 and over Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii Puerto Rico and Canada is also available via USPS, but requires an extra charge which is calculated after you've input your address upon checkout.

Rush Delivery
If you need to get an order delivered faster than the 4-6 business day time frame, please call and we can set up a rush delivery with UPS. Shipping rates will vary. 

Returns and Exchanges
I want you to be happy with your Wakefield Handmade pottery purchase. If that is not the case, I will work hard to make things right.  If you decide the piece you ordered is just not right for you, (too big, too small, not the right color, etc.) you may return it for credit or refund, but you'll need to pay the return shipping costs.  If there is some kind of defect to the piece that I failed to notice when I was packing it, we can work out the right replacement.  (It usually doesn't make economic sense to ship pots back)

Breakage in Shipping 

Occasionally, breakage occurs during shipping.  if this happens with your order, please send me an email with information on what was damaged.  Also, please let me know if the box appeared damaged.  If the box is damaged, please take digital photos of all 6 sides of the carton and email them to me.  UPS requires these photos in order for me to make a claim.  Please hang on to the damaged carton until UPS decides whether or not they need to inspect it.  In the meantime, I will work with you to get a replacement out ASAP.
