Soda-fired Baluster style vase, with rich Amber Glaze. The pattern was created by drawing my fingers through the wet glaze, which allows the unglazed portions to retain beautiful blush variations, which are characteristic to soda-fired stoneware. This vase is inspired by 14th and 15th century English baluster jugs, examples of which can be found in the wonderful collection at the Museum of the City of London.
